Ganking should destroy some durability of the paperdoll gear

    When ganked or bled out your equipped gear should lose some durability. Not too much, maybe 5-10% of the remaining durability. This will help stimulate the economy by causing more gear to leave the world. Gear is the most important thing to own and there isn't enough circulation of it. PvP is the main aspect of this game and it's a little absurd there are no sinks involved besides the durability and regs needed to kill someone. When you loot someone you are essentially trading the items without their consent.

    Losing 5-10% remaining durability will not be devastating for the looter or the dead as it's only a small amount but over time it will accumulate to a lot of sinks. It will not apply to whatever is in their inventory and only their paperdoll gear.

    problems will come with this tho..

    everyone already in low dura gear, after ganking people loot the gear that either destroyed or even lower..

    this also will make the reward less after killing/ganking someone

    5-10% of REMAINING durability means you will never destroy the gear. Even if it's 3 dura it will only lose up to .3 dura. Killing someone and looting them is reward enough you can handle a slight drop in dura.

    My idea was to destroy some low dura items on death and transfer their durability to other items. It would mean we loot more useful items. if it was tuned right it would be a net negative so it drains the economy.

    Need additional sinks from somewhere!

    Right now gold sinks in game:

    - Sieges (lol, kay)
    - NPC Vendor Purchases (Mostly Regs, if that)
    - Gear Crafting/Gear Durability (Main Sink 1)
    - Market Tax (Main Sink 2)

    Portal shards were a heavy sink before but that couldn't stay. Their removal off vendors was the right call; but that sink needs to be replaced. A bit of extra dura loss is a step in the right direction.

    Start by adding all items to vendors, at an extreme price. Im talking dragon with non trueforge durability for like 500k, enchanting materials on a vendor for 2k per q5, blackbolts for 2k each, etc.

    Not because people should want em but because gold needs a value.


    Next add skins, dyes, warhulks, purchasable cities, housing items, etc. To vendors for an extreme prices.

    The current system lets top end pvp'ers dominate the game too much, and makes it way too easy for them. No need for them to ever farm, or work with others, all they need to do is gank some people not as good as them and boom, they can have all the gear sets they want.

    I feel dura loss on gank needs to be harder than 10%. Take it down 33% at a time until pieces are 10 and under, they get destroyed. There is no economy.

    I think in DFUW it was 10% dura loss. So Sick Bastards/Sinister were ganking themselves down to 10% dura before fighting lol. Then you go to loot and there's nothing there. Not sure what the long term effects of that were though. I was only around for the first few weeks of that.

    I hate this idea but at the same time I cannot think of a better one and something needs to be done to help remove gear from the game so that it is actually a marketable item worth its time to be crafted......

    Good thing this idea is nothing like albion.

    A percentage of CURRENT dura means you should NEVER be able to break a piece of gear on gank.

    Wouldn't the quality of the armor need to be reduced as well to prevent people from purposefully ganking to lower the dura?

    they should do as they are doing and use the different teams to get different things done so they are moving forward at the same time they are looking backwards.

    This is literally the game where you can see the chaos theory in action.

    A very small change in any initial conditions can create a significantly different and unexpected outcome.

    Like, for example, city buffs.
