I almost want to play again just to use up all the "PvP songs" I have saved up since 2015 LUL

Maybe when the expansion comes if it ACTUALLY increases sustainable population...

I swore I'd never play a dead game again after the COUNTLESS hours I spent assembling groups and looking for quality PvP and not finding it in Unholy Wars and late DF1... and I have stuck to that.

Didn't help that I usually liked to play at "non primetime", but regardless a healthy MMO should have people on practicality 24/7

I'm not really a fan of 1v1s/ 2v2s or most zerg scale sieges

3-9 vs 3-15 is my jam

 

That's the norm these days. Only a few 'ego' players left, and no one cares about them. The 'meta' has devolved back to what it probably should've always been: conflict between two clans escalates into bigger fights. Everyone calls in backup. For instance, in the blue poo clip I had ~4 gear bags on me(notice the 2k of each reg), because a conflict over a midmap spawn turned into a drawn out fight of attrition.

Sieges range from 35~70 on each side, and even though it's not my thing personally, these fights do wonders for population and newer players absolutely love the 'epic' scale of them.

I was under the impression the game was basically down to only 2 real "factions" ?

IDK maybe I'll check it out sooner than the expansion if there's actually different groups and multiway bang going on right now

I'm just 300% done with running around for 5-6 hours straight looking for PvP and only finding 1 vid worthy fight (if I'm lucky, some days you'd just waste the whole day looking) and people in my group just wanting to city duel instead.

 

It recently split, now theres a lot of different groups, I'd say right now the game state is better than its been for a long time, the only real "megafaction" left is legion-blackwater, defiance just deallied everybody. Pretty soon they should split too, since both clans could get decent fights against everyone else, but right now just mega zerg at sieges

I think that they have before and eventually they will again, I think its just a matter of time until they are sure the deallying isnt a little defiance trick and they decide to split up and form one more force
