Welp I got a new PC for work and decided to download the game last weekend. I tried playing for a few months last year on a 2 in 1 laptop but the fps wasn't exactly cutting it for recording. But NOW I have a proper rig! So here is my first post in a long time: All fights recorded from playing this past Sunday. Still getting back into it so excuse the rust. I suggest watching in 4k!
what the flying fuck the motion blur looks nice tbh lol and the chileno fight was a 4v4? I thought we zerged you guys 4v3 til now
And the best part is it only took about an hour to render the motion blur in AE I wouldn't even have attempted to render that kind of VFX with my older computers haha. Also village porting is terrible they really should expand the teleport range to be the entire tile so people actually have a chance to group up.
The footage comes out as 3620 x 2026 100mbps @ 60fps and then I rendered it in After Effects to add motion blur (smooths out all those darkfall camera jolts that raw 60fps footage usually chops up). I use a plugin called ReelSmart Motion Blur but After Effects has a free version called Pixel motion blur which is pretty good. Then I piece it together in Premiere and do some light color grading because shadows in this game are way too dark. Hope that makes sense/helps! After Effects and a big boy job. looks nice, what did you do with the stats? did you just mask the ui and move it to top left? a friend of mine who makes montages and shit sent me some really good RSMB settings, should try them. was a lil high in the vid but it actually looks really nice with df
Lol i know i didnt try hide that i jumped you. Just wanted show that type of shit still happens and that the game isnt completely dead. Next vid ill cherry pick good fights where i play well i just wanted to test the footage --- Post updated --- Yeah i wouldnt have used such high settings on most projects but felt like it worked with df. Ill try those and see how it looks!
