    Decided to reinstall:

    HD = I still get load lag
    SSD = I get better group/siege performance

    Any other factors to consider?

    If you preload spell animations you will do better, but still SSD is going to win you more head to head fights, no question.

    I didn't notice any difference switching from HD to ssd for regular game play. I switched long before the new load times so they might help with that now. Ssd did remove the lag spike from replay recording. I got my first ssd back in dfo so its been awhile since I used a regular HD with darkfall.

    I still get load lag that seems to be the same. Still a lot of hitching and what not at sieges.

    How much of a difference does that make for RoA?

    Huge difference you’ll never go back trust me. 144hz will provide you with a more responsive gaming experience but you also get an advantage over your opponents who have regular 60Hz displays.

    Monitor arrived. 30in widescreen/curved 200hz.

    Anything I need to know about running RoA on a widescreen/curved monitor? Any optimizations I need to do? If so please explain as if I haven't the slightest idea about what you're talking about :D

    No idea about curve screen. But make sure your display is reading 200hz. Need to be using Display port not HDMI if you want to actually get 200hz. Ingame resolution should be reading something like 1980x1080@200hz. Mine is at @144hz.
    And always run in full screen less screen tearing.

    Coming from 60hz shit resolution to 200hz 2560X1080: it's like a brand new game. I'm playing with EU folks right now and even though their hitboxes are always strange... the melee and archery tracking is incredible. I can't believe I played for so long when this made such a difference.

    :)
