Fixed Login issues

    The last day or two when I log in I get all the way through the process until you hear the sound that means you have logged in, then the game crashes. Any thoughts?

    This issue started Sunday after a patch, my two mains were located somewhere on the map and both did a capital recall, ending up in Sanguine. Both are MIrdain whose cap had previously be Charybdis. I see the Sanguine loading page before I crash.

    I would try reinstalling and see if that helps.

    Please provide client_1.log from data folder when it happens so we can debug the issue further.

    Several additional posts today seem to have disappeared. It will not let me upload the client file as it says it does not have a valid extension. This problem applies only to my paid accounts- I have a free account where I can log in. Recently upgraded accounts say that they are not active, even tho if I log on to the account page it says they are active. A close clannie has tried to log in from his machine and gets the same crashes, as does a colleague in another clan.

    Reinstalling does not seem to help, although I am not sure I did it correctly, it seemed to reinstall very quickly. Are there other files I can trash that might help?

    If you can contact the Overseer bot on discord you should be able to send the client_1.log there.

    If you are trying to log in in Sanguine, there is still a resource bug that causes the game client to crash when the game's graphics is set to run under PS1.1, there is no such problem when using PS3.0.

    The (temporary) solution is to switch to P3.0.

    Search the folders under this path, replace * with your windows user name: C:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\DarkfallRoA\Character

    Find all gui_manager_persistence.xml files in subfolders. Open them all in a text editor, for example in Notepad.

    Replace the value in section MEMBER_SHADER_VERSION with PS3_0, like this:

    with:
    upload_2019-12-26_0-56-10.png

    Save the file(s), start the game.

    Thanks. I did manage to get there, the file opened in Internet Explorer and I could not make any changes. So I dumped the GUI persistence manager files and that seemed to fix the problem

    Im having this same issue and I've checked my XML files and they are set to PS3_0 tried reinstall .. no difference.. been trying to log in for 20 minutes and it just keeps crashing over and over and over

    BTW also logged out in Sanguine.. doing a repair now after deleting the.xml files to see if it will rebuild them as default

    I try not to log out in Sanguine to avoid this.
