So this is a duel, I did with a guild member, I'm looking for some tips on how to improve. Hotkeys press e once = staff press twice = stam to health, witches brew, heal self press q once = sword press twice = whirlwind, disable cntrl+e = mana to stam, health to mana scroll wheel to go through the bars to get to spells, 1-10 is on my naga. right click sword/board
You need to completely rework your binds. You shouldnt even need to switch bars if you have a good setup. I'd offer to post mine but I don't have the game installed anymore so you're gonna have to wait for someone else to resolve this issue. @EnigmaticD batsignal come help
That dpi is insanely high, not saying I have any sort of an optimum setup but for reference I play on 800 dpi with 1.42 ingame.
most people can't tolerate as much addy as you lmao having to swap hotbars is just another mundane thing to worry about mid fight, the less of those the better
put your xfers on seperate keys, witches brew and heal self can be on same key i guess.... get rid of swapping between bars in general - bind your keyboard/naga and never have to look at what spell you have selected - simply kno what key they are. Your binds are really bad... fix that first then you can progress forward into getting actual combat tips... i couldn't bother to watch your clip after I read your binds.
My binds are all based on having a mouse with 12 buttons lol. I use 11 and 12 to change pages and use 1-10 to use abilities. Then e, q for blinds and ` for AoEs. I'd recommend lowering your sens some(but idk what your ingame is so maybe not). But idk mine is also somewhat high compared to the other players I play with. 1.9 in game with 1800 dpi (use to play at 4500 dpi... changed it because I couldn't play with that high of sens in other games and it felt weird changing it all the time). As long as you are fine with your binds and can get to them quickly they are fine. If you find yourself fumbling them then you should change. Make transfers, witchsbrew and heal self on separate keys. After watching here's a few things. It takes you to long to jump out and shoot a ray. That's either a binds problem or you just not thinking about it fast enough, that for you to figure out. You never shoot r90s, which are some of your best spells and instead you shoot magma off CD. Magma is a good spell but it has a long cast time and can get you killed. I'd recommend using your r90s off CD instead of magma and just filling in spell rotations with magma.
Use eye rot push melee gg, Seriously tho you had the hp advantage and were on him in melee against a halberd you will always win that trade. Your dpi seems high but hey you landed a good amount of spells but that might be because your opponent movements were bad. If u have a naga you can make macro, I use my scroll wheels as two keys and then do Shift + scrolls up or down as two other keys. Look at others examples and play with it. P.s use your r90 off CD splash dmg op.
You could have won the duel much faster if you stayed agressive, you had him at 2-3 hits vs your whole health bar but you backed up and let him stat. In the end he forced a melee engagement with a polearm he doesn't know how to use effectively which won you the duel. More often then not the more aggressive player is taking the W. Be proactive not reactive, dunno about mage binds, theres too many spells for my simple mind to grasp i just parry most things if its comin at me
I dont know if that was me doing that though. We had a bunch of people in discord when dueling. sounds good, ill look into lowering my sensitivity. My problem I notice with hotkeys is that some of em feel far due to having to use wasd. Ill jump in discord and we can duel a bunch.
use shift + hotkey or ctrl + hotkey to modify the keys near WASD so you dont have to reach far. for example you can have three different spells on Q, shift + Q and ctrl + Q without every having to stretch your hand beyond Q
Basically put all your r90s on same key (first available) Same with field aoes and rays except pungent needs it’s own bind I have 2 bars for self buffing that I switch to, to buff then I have a pvp bar keeping 1-7 default because it’s tough reaching passed 7. Your aim is pretty good for that sense. A good thing to keep in mind you want your sense as low as possible while still being able to melee properly. Usually higher sense easier to melee lower= better ranged aim find a happy medium. Your most used spells should be easy to hit I rebind shift caps tab etc. 1-7 Transfers are insta cast Rays are insta cast Use r90s
