what i can experience in new patch if i became blue? --- Post updated --- and why you crying?there is no difference between red or blue in this game, just go live chaos or clan city and game for reds it the same as for blues, but maybe u just need little blue trade twink in sanguine. Its easier to just go -1000 red and dont care about anything and fight like a man with everyone, dont care about useless aligment system. --- Post updated --- I think you need to remove blue players from the game, and make only reds/green names, because everyone want to fight in this game and nobody care about aligment.I mean if i need to kill this guy,i will dont care if i lose -300 aligment after killing him, aligment system will not stop me at all.
i would love to be blue again, a free teleport to the racial capital and the ability to freely trade is really nice. it's not the end of the world to be red but blue has some very nice advantages
yeah but i dont want to pay for or use another account, and clanmates aren't always available. the convenience of being able to go yourself is huge, and not just for trading for getting around too. now that they're adding a capital subway the mobility from being blue is going to be even better than before
You can never prevent someone from making alternate accounts and it would be bad business to do so anyway. Therefore "alts" cannot be a part if the decision making process outside of exploits.
I've deleted my character few weeks ago. If i can come back in the game and make a viable character in 15 hours, i would not mind coming back to play ROA. Now, i also hope that i can recover my deleted character. With the new direction, i believe ROA will be casual friendly enough to bring me back in. Meanwhile, i'm not playing any other game. A lot of the things i've been asking for such as removing meditation baseline, making all 1h, 2h skill level become one and more are coming. so im glad for that.
Is that the only part you read before responding? Do you realize that i won't care about my old character if the game becomes casual friendly enough to bring me back in? The way you replied to me, it's like you're telling me that i should never come back. You're sending me or us the wrong message you know that? The only hard part about DFO to me has always been character progression. With that becoming easy as shit, it won't be an issue for me to play with a new character.
Yep, it's already pretty much there, next patch will have the connecting pieces for gear changes and stat changes to raise the floor and make users viable very quickly. There's also a little feature to equip an entire set of Armour from a bag planned which will make regearing much easier. It will put all pieces in queue and should include jewelry as well.
No they are staying but the GUI is being redesigned so it more intuitively displays it to users. The 0-5 in a skill we have currently was simply a stop-gap to get the last patch out. The redesigned screen will show your current level, max level and how far you are to the next level. Crafting skills will also get the same changes so everything is in line.
Ok so a nice face lift to make things look nicer. That is all good, however what kind of change can we expect to make new players feel more welcome in this game. like Safe zones and also free trials on the website? I have about 5-6 people who would want to play but want to try it out first. I made a whole post in project suggestion about new player experience but i just want to know BPG is working on something for them.
We'll be looking at making entry into RoA a lot less stressful for new players. Starting with removing war decs from NPC cities, adding guard towers to nearby spawns, possibly changing the length of newbie protection and how it works. As part of the pivot to bring RoA to a more casual gamer, we can't ignore how harsh the world is for new players.
yeee boi. Let's be real, the game has needed this from the start. Any argument against "safezones" is inherently flawed and usually thrown around by legit mongoloids. Honestly, I'd go way further than just adding guard towers to spawns. I'd sanction off entire swathes of the map for newbies / crafters / non-pvp'ers to frolick and chill all day. They might not leave, ever, and that wouldn't have any effect on me. They might as well not exist to me, outside of the fact that they're paying a sub to keep my favorite game alive. I would LOVE for someone to try and argue with me against safezones. TRY. We could even get in discord. It'd be a LOT of fun, I promise.
I laid out my whole idea under the project suggestions page about how i think safe zones could work in Darkfall and still keep the wolves happy, and not open them up for abuse. Safe zones can't really be argued against because there research has already proven that people left the game because they were getting griefed off it.
