But that's been pretty much proven to be true with the DF community. Remember the /drink macro? I 'member.
Everyone saw the videos of luck nailing someone with archery through a complete confusion blind. It's not a question of if but a question of how. You would think people aware of this exploit would have come forward by now so that it can be fixed but they probably want their little pixels too much to give up an advantage like that. I didnt do it but then again, I was never one to pull a bow as my weapon of choice. I dont think I ever used those exploits, like the q5 staf fenchants -> death -> revive -> switch to shitty staff exploit and I absolutely loathed the stamina bug. But then again I also never had the ego that some players like Yeld and others did. Yeldanan was the worst. Lose a duel to someone in Q3 gear: BRB! he comes back in full Q5 duel gear with dragon filers and shit.
Unfortunately, this became somewhat accurate. While I never sought them out, or enjoyed doing so, I did engage in a few. There were some where if you didn't you only fell further behind. I remember early on in EU launch certain exploits came to light; what those who were light years ahead in wealth and skills were doing and how to do it for yourself. Even being a person who frowned on such a thing, or being in a clan that did, it was easy to see how the temptation was simply too great. Especially with the knowledge that NOTHING was being done, not to stop it nor to punish those who chose to participate. Rigor-Acid Pools and Pyramids Skill ups through invuln shields Golems' Melee Attack Being an AoE centered on themselves so you could stand out of range Battlespikes for Maximum/Broken Damage Getting Mobs stuck on Terrain-to kill or to skill Mobs through Walls Various Stamina and Regen Bugs Much like the general population's views on Darkfall's PvP evolved (attack attack attack! kill kill kill! if it's red it's dead...) I feel so too did their acceptance (reluctant or otherwise) of exploitation. Those who did not follow, generally quit, and the world became all the more full of chaos and murder as those who might seek or hope for a different style of life, quit. Doesn't mean it can't be changed, exploits should be fixed quickly, and there should be repercussions for abuse.
The Mercs (videos they make where good btw)where most overated cheaters from the start. Arkillion was just laud mouth battle with him few times he manage ones kill me when was over cumbered with to much mats on me dumb me hehe, in main town Mahirim ganked me with group most naked(this in time he was with clan called something like LOLKILLEDYOUR MOUNT or something like that. One one he lost to me few times. NoxiumBraveClaw. Also this guy with Capslock name(on EU server) always in general trash talk was no big deal he never manage to kill me was so called big name with super high magic skills damn forgot his name he had in CAPSLOCK. Val Roth was not bad player he manage(saw with my own eyes) kill many players with ping of 300+ did damn good job on newbee tutorials videos)
Exploiters/Cheaters have ruined so many games its so sad. Never understood cheaters. Yeh thats the guy. You never manage to kill me and vice versa but i always manage to avoid being killed so no bitch for yah
there was an exploit on UW that allowed you to see partial section of screen through blinds. But, nothing like how we saw luck with them. the only explanation would have been an aim hack. because if it were a visual exploit that allowed him to not be blinded, then a video of it wouldn't have shown blinds. I used to moderate some CoD servers where aim hacking and wall hacking was quite a problem often, and there are always some tell tale signs of even if the person isn't using an obvious headshoteveryplayerintheroundfrombehind5buildings type of autoaim hack, that they still have that '6th sense' and uncanny aim that the rest of the top 10 players on the servers did not. Not trying to say luck was a hacker, but he did have a unique aim style, and we already know aim hacking was definitely an issue on dfo. it will be on RoA too unless some really good shit is implemented to prevent it....
My List from DFO. 1. Xzyzz zyXz 2. Ninogan Swiftstep 3. Speed Lovah 4. Evaner Mordred 5. Dom uX 6. Ihope Ugotlewt 7. Awesomefusion ASD 8. Krankone Hsler 9. Xteam Nightarrow 10. Ergan Iceglow I only played on the European side of Darkfall Online and these are the player names that spring to mind who during the early stages of Darkfall Online who had a hype reputation of being some amazing player when in fact they just had amazing characters and as the game progressed towards the latter stages when other players caught up on character progression all of these names started dropping like flies from the game because they could no longer dominate with there overpowered characters once people had equal leveled ones to match them.
Reading this thread was incredibly nostalgic. Darkfall seriously attracted one of the coolest communities, even if it sometimes got too hypercompetitive. It's interesting.. a lot of people on these overrated lists are people that literally pioneered specific PvP playstyles during periods of the game.
rolf my character wasn't even a person compared to anyone on that list. During all of df i basically kept my char at a barely competitive level because I hated farming and grinding but I guess this is another Pat alt account so talking out of your ass is to be expected. That's a nice list of 10 people who'd all beat you if you both had even characters btw. At least half of that list remained in-game longer than what was the smart thing to do by the way. Once the game was just a shadow of its former self in terms of population it's not surprising to see most people leaving to do other things but some weirdos like you of course started playing actively then when people like the ones on your list wasn't around as much to make you rage.
this list is complete wrong.. 1. Xzyzz zyXz --> defo had a max and over duped bank.. but foggen was a top tier archer 2. Ninogan Swiftstep --> never saw nino as a top tier player. i had respect for him tho, regarding this vids on youtube who brought a shitton players 3. Speed Lovah --> defo a good player 4. Evaner Mordred --> this guy on the other hand was complete shit.. barely mid tier.. he crouched alot on this max char @ the start of darkfall 5. Dom uX --> same counts for this guy 6. Ihope Ugotlewt --> good player, dont know alot about him tho 7. Awesomefusion ASD --> defo top tier. altho i accuse him for melee/swing turning script..(very easy to make) 8. Krankone Hsler --> this guy is debatable i guess.. all he did was running mid dungeon surging every spell and 2 hit noobs in andruk dungeon (repeat) 9. Xteam Nightarrow - this guy was not top tier.. but a little below the top players 10. Ergan Iceglow --> same counts for this guy i think dante.. was a very stable player.. good in every espect.. most consitant overall player.. by far magnetic man.. altho the player behind the character is complete shit, very bad additude. preff yeti above mag. but yes magnetic best player EU
