garmirs should have a charge that jumps forward 100 yards but it dies if it collides with anything. bears should be able to climb trees horses have down syndrome face so it should have a limp or gallop every now and then. shulgan drakes should be similar to flame cannons death pigs should drop something behind it akin to mario cart banana. maybe dung? bluetails should be able to side step and jump twice as high. battlehorns should be able to act as a battering ram and destroy structures.
I'll tell you what I said years ago Remove Bluetails from the game, seriously fuck em Remove Mount sprint entirely Make Racial/regular mounts and battle horns the same speed, adjust that speed to whatever seems right. ALL mounts should be the SAME SPEED! That's all you need to do. If you insist on adding a mount sprint skill, make it the SAME speed and cooldown across all mounts If you want to differentiate mounts then do it through literally anything OTHER than mount speed such as -Cost -Hit points -Protections -Hitbox size - Extra Mounted one hand attack damage/ swing speed -Skills like a roar short AoE buff/debuff -Extra bite attack or tail whip damage/knockback -HP regeneration rate Having mounts at different speeds was horrible game design which was apparent in DF1 when they were added 2 years after launch but even MORE apparent in Unholy Wars. I went into long in depth examples and scenarios as to why a couple years ago that got ignored, I don't really want to do it again. --- Post updated --- All mounts should be the same speed Differentiate them through other means. I don't think you played for the 2 years before Bluetails were added, but it was way BETTER when racial mounts and battle horns were the ONLY mounts and the same speed. The difference was mount HP, hitbox, cost, and one handed mounted damage modifier.

Revert to how it was and then community poll changes. If the new mount change doesn't get 70% yes votes, keep it how it was.
This is not something you can fix, stuff will always not be used you can always go the WoW route and Transmog shit.
Not sure if the devs dont realize av did things for a reason to balance the game and that the toon grind was the only content darkfall had.
We could always use more volunteers and community involvement, app up in our careers page . Everyone wears multiple hats and we don't have a designated person doing social media right now so we aren't diligent with it lately --- Post updated --- Off topic but yes we realize the purpose of the long grind and much of the game that was adjusted for it. We've added more content to the game and are continuing to add mechanics that will encourage daily activities. The long time to be viable is in our opinion a bandaid that pushes casuals out of the game world. It is also 10 years later from when DFO launched now and it is a different gaming environment in many ways in the world. We agree we haven't added as much to the game as we would have liked to by the point we are at now however we also had to build the majority of our Dev pipelines/tools ourselves over the last 4 years with a small mostly volunteer Dev team. We are finally in a position to add more impactful changes to the game such as this expansion focused around conquest and dynamic housing. It's taking a while as this is the largest task we've worked on to date and lots of foundational changes are needed for the expansions features which are costly with no immediate impact.
Complete waste of time, just fix the bug. If its not fixable then just remove it and have different reasons for each mount, bluetail, normal, b-horn.
Revert combat. First off I don't think everything has to be balanced, but instead, we need variety based on the visual. It's what i expect the new armour type from the PTS to be all about, but i was wrong . It's true that seeing everybody with bluetails got old. DF UW brought back bluetail speed and HP for the mounts that already exist. They just look a little different. Like this one for example. Making sure that we won't be riding blue tails only should be the only goal. The direction should always be ''original combat'' unless something is truly broken like the old wof.
Who even cares seriously this is a tiny aspect of the game that really wont effect much if anything. You guys make instant changes to things like siege costs with no input but now you want input on this useless mechanic? Who cares, make a decision as a developer and dont involve players for junk like this.
