I would use racial mounts but mount fighting is even harder thx to lower mount hp and mount weight changes ))
Also fuck bluetails. Remove them and make Battle Horns and Racial mounts the SAME SPEED. Up that speed a little closer to current Bluetail speed if necessary and you're Done. The game was so much better before Bluetails got added Make mounts different not through speed, but by hitpoints, one handed mount damage modifier, mount protections, cost, regeneration, hitbox size.
I can't be the only one who see problems with mounts being the same speed with how bhopping is? Why not just remove mounts and have us all bhopping cause no one will ever get away on a mount again. understand people are gonna be butt hurt if I say remove bhopping so I'm not but really...What's the point of a mount besides traveling if theirs bhopping? People can legit chase forever. And no...your zerg should not be able to catch a player 1km away.
Man something like this is gonna be needed cause its 100% TO EASY TO CATCH PEOPLE ON FOOT WHILE THEY'RE MOUNTED.
Remove bunnyhopping or make mounts much faster than they currently are. Remove mount stamina. Make all mounts the same speed because you'll never ever balance different speeds. There's nothing wrong with movement spells but being able to keep hopping is stupid no matter how much "skill" it takes.
You either remove bunny hops with blue tails and sprint removed or you keep bunny hop with reverted mounts back to dfo stats. That also mean the ability to carry multiple mounts without steedgrass to craft them in the open.

Ppl tend to forget that original mounts were never OP. Carrying 3-4 mounts was only good for a few players like Zorak which according to sero, he was using some kind of funky ahk script to be good at mounted combat? Now of course, if you could carry 3-4 blue tails, that could be a problem, but when it cost 2 steedgrass to make 1, the chance of coming accross a player who has this luxury is rare. With the original stat of mounts, you lose stamina as you ride. So riding too long on slow mounts was deteriorating more than advantageous. In other words, just cast exhaust or mass debuffs on them and laugh as you focus your rays or arrows on the player. I know that on DnD, we would just cast exhaust on mounted players just to watch them walk later on. That ''walking dead'' part is long gone from ROA. Next point, with slow mounts or blue tails, mounted combat was never OP. Using mass debuffs and focussing the player was the best thing to do in such situation so again, it was deteriorating more than anything. I want 100% reverted combat initially more than anything to make you new players understand why we want old combat so bad. Wof and eye rot can stay the way it is.
