OFFICIAL GAME DESIGN POLL #2: Bunny hopping !

What, if anything, should be changed about bunny hopping as it currently exists in the game?

  1. Nothing!

  2. Direct effect mechanic (i.e. Increase stamina loss with impact damage specifically)

  3. Indirect effect mechanic (i.e. increase armor/weps durability loss with impact damage specifically)

  4. Nerf mechanic (i.e. Death on impact damage)

    beating a dead horse here. They already addressed it and said it would be altered. It just hasnt been fixed yet because theres more important things right now

    theres no way im going to search this forum for that specific information. You can take my word for it, you can quit and come back for official launch when it has been addressed; or you can learn to bunny hop like everybody else for the time being while it exists in its current state.

    What if u just limit the jumps, is this even possible, b hop popping should be a soft get away or a way to maneuver on battle field, u should not be able to b hope tiles away.

    Limit amount of jumps usage after a begone(3 jumps after use). The mechanic is very cool but limit the distance by only allowing so many jumps per cast. Make it to where u can not parry as well. So the chaser actually has a chance of hitting u. Nothing more fustrating to have some one one hit a foot ball field in front of u and u manage to hit that lucky arrow and it got parried.

    I enjoy bunny hopping I think it adds another skill to the game to master, some people were really good at it. It is a very useful spell when you are out numbered. Which was often the case for me as I am mostly a solo pvper.

    It would be nice if begone was changed to work in all directions.

    I say let people die from fall damage. That way it is still useable and available if someone wants to use it but it does not make horses obsolete.

    Begone needs fixed and nerfed but not like its being suggested.
    1.) We need begone to work in all directions.
    2.) We need fall damage to be able to kill.

    There is zero logic in taking damage from FULL HP to 1HP while hoping, and then being allowed to continue hoping indefinitely at 1HP.

    If this were the case I think the cap for fall damage should be lowered. This way you could, over the course of the beta, pin point the max distance one could bhop (with a max toon). Right now, you can die pretty fast with the current cap.

    Yes, I don't think you should bounce 3 times and die because the damage is high. There is many tweaks that need looked at. You should be able to ski a bit, but not infinite.

    it should work in all directions and cast time increased if anything. we can't nerf it this is the only way out of a fight if your being zerged.

    Bunny is one of these things that difference the skill between players.

    While I can agree is one of the best tools to fight zergs, I would like it to be addressed somehow not because I cant catch these players but cuz its pretty broken. By broken I mean once you dominate its mechanichs you can travel way more faster than any flying mount lol, and that shouldnt work like that.

    Some sort of nerf should come into this matter imho.

    Make it so you can die from fall damage. That adds a skill ceiling. Right now it's a care-free crutch people use to fix their errors and makes mounts nearly useless. If you're "good" enough at bunny hopping there's a speed slightly slower than max where you still move faster than mounts but take 0 fall damage each hop. Make THAT the skill-ceiling people aim for. That's one step higher than what we currently have.

    I like the idea of making the hop work in all directions, and greatly increase the stamina drain from fall damage. A few hops is ok, but cross country hopping is just absurd.

    I don't mind bunny hopping being in the game for a few quick hops. But making mounts not the preferred form of travel makes me hate bunny hopping being in the game. Being able to die from the fall damage would probably fix it.

    If you guys touch anything that has to do with the way the character moves and feels in this game you will ruin many things.. I know bunny hopping was not exactly meant to be. Its a fact.

    Its not game breaking at all. You toy with it.. you will fuck things up. DO NOT TOUCH IT.

    I think like others have suggested you should die from bunny hopping, but fall damage should be reduced slightly to allow a certain amount of hops to retreat but not infinitely.

    If it's removed, people just won't fight you unless they can win. Is that what you want?
