I was doing that lol.
I'm betting you were one of the people scooping afk noob crafters up in fun hulks and plowing them out of the NPC city to get killed lmao?
Oh ya.... I did that so many times I went through prolly 20 fun hulks.
Not all noobs tho.. There were some vets aswell AFK.
ND is in really bad shape population wise. A lot of the things they've done... geez. I decided to download and test since its free and RoA is plagued with retarded exploits as of late but I think dealing with the exploits is even better than some of the shit ND has done. Plus the ping issue. :\
If that's really how long it takes still no one is going to play the game after a year because you won't be retaining any new players due to how far behind they will be before they can PvP.
Longest sentence ever.
lmao 3-5 months to have a viable character. okay
you're actually a complete dumb ass copper, jesus christ.
@Dread Arsonik DND's MultiPress is somewhat similar to ROAs Cycle. You can still combine the DFO functionality that you referenced with the multi-press. E.g. You map your Col1Row5 to "q". Then you drag Fireball, Magma and Volcano to the first three slots. The result is single press of q is Fireball, double tap is Magma etc.
Personally I prefer Single/Doubletab MultiPress to Cycle because I consider it more precise. As you note, the same functionality can be simulated using modifier keys like Shift Ctrl and Alt. However, for my less dexterous Old Man Hands I find modifier keys to be more awkward.
If ROA added a MultiPress option in addition to Cycle, I'd use it over Cycle almost every time. I used both in my G13 script and my preference is pretty strong. I know others prefer Cycle so it'd be nice to have both MultiPress and Cycle as options.
My only complaint really that could be fixed easily..agree
All others don't think they can or will
It works fine with 2,3 skills but when I have 4+ spells on one button it gets ridiculous. I mean jeez my buff bar has over 10.
I agree its okay for 1-2 taps, passable for 3 and useless for 4 and 5.
Agreed. The REALLY useful option is the doubletap. Triple tap is passable for infrequently used spells that aren't super time sensitive. But quadruple tap and quintuple tap are useless.
From the feedback I've read, it sounds like some people are writing off the whole system because they try to fill up all five slots which, as mentioned, is useless. So in this case the extra "functionality" of 4x and 5x MultiPress is actually confusing to people.
For keys where I'd want to choose between 4 or 5 items, Cycle seems a better option, but it's not yet clear whether DND will allow Cycling as an option.
Feel free to discuss DnD in our offtopic section: https://forums.darkfallriseofagon.com/threads/darkfall-new-dawn-discussion.4971/ . Thanks for your input guys anyway, but i'd like to keep our General Discussion about RoA only. If you think a specific feature should be implemented, please open a topic in our Game Design Discussion.
