    Focused on bigger changes/overhauls that would drastically affect the game long-term.

    Mostly made this out of personal curiosity to see what the Darkfall community would like to see done to the game, but it might help the devs should they choose to listen to this thread. These choices are somewhat vague so feel free to expand upon your vote and specify what exactly you want under your chosen category.

    This. My vote would be arena system to facilitate better streaming content to lure players in with the combat and once that is complete, create new player island and then aggressively market the game.

    I always felt like DF always had enough content. The reward is just lackluster on most of them. So to me, there is only 2 content: PVE and Sieges. You guys can hate me for loving DnD, but atleast, dnd brought all of those content back to life.

    Quests rewards are trash, VCP cap is nowhere near as good as farming, seatowers are trash, trade-routes are trash, not one dungeon is good (except serruk and center) unless you got keys now.

    ...

    PVE lacks group farming in large groups, larger than 4. PVP lacks natural encounters.

    TC system for me, conflict drives everything in this game, more reason for that = more reason for everything else.

    PvE options would be a close second.

    But make it so you need tickets to participate in the arena so the game doesn't devolve into nothing but it

    Make the tickets drop from high end mobs to keep in real game participation necessary to some extent.

    This idea would effectively restrict new players from even accessing the arena as high end mob spawns are always camped by vets. Arenas should be for everyone and extremely easy to participate it. They should be free to be honest.

    Open world pvp will never be replicable under an arena system so worrying about organic pvp dying off is pointless.

    We do, however, need high quality streaming content if we expect to attract more players to the game. Nobody is going to watch a stream of people duelling in a city or roaming the map for hours.

    TCS and Arena are two most important thing for me.
    TCS give clans and groups of people real motivations and reason for regional conquest.
    Arena great way for players to skill up their combat abilities without the hassle of losing gear constantly.
    Arena is a GREAT way to stream and hopefully lure others to try the game out.

    New map locations: this was always successful in asheron’s call at driving conflict and appealed to both pvpers and pve’ers

    Arena. That way I can stream. That way new players can fight top end pvpers more often and finally "get it" when it comes to understanding pvp on a competitive level. Something BW desperately needs.

    Im still adamant about arena being the top priority.

    Make it easily accessible (low 100-500 gold cost), no full loot (so its always popping and rich don't get richer), but allow slow durability loss. Arena would need NO reward other than something akin to a ELO ladder. It can't be a way to thrive and get rich.

    Eventually to keep playing arena you need to venture out in the world for gear/gold to keep playing. Unintentionally it will make the world more active if everyone is constantly queuing, and provide a much needed gold sink.

    Arena has been proven for years that it can keep people playing just for laddering and Darkfall needs something to retain people other than a siege or two a week.

    Plus the game could finally become streamer friendly. Streaming is the single best way to get the word out for your game. Nobody wants to watch a dude roam for an hour to get zerged, find nobody, or farm braindead NPCs. But straight up 1v1s or 3v3s in an arena setting for a few hours? People would watch that.

    I still hope for it one day..

    I voted economy changes/ overhaul but that would have to include a wipe/ advertise/ relaunch which BPG isnt smart/bold enough to risk.


    The right economy overhaul, followed by a wipe relaunch, would touch on a dozen different game aspects and naturally fix many OTHER things in the poll.

    That said my faith in BPG being able to do it correctly is very low.


    Second would be meaningful territory control/ politics/ clan/ alliance improvements... Again this is something I don't think BPG can pull off, not without also implementing my first choice.


    Third choice, and the only one I think BPG could actually pull off as a standalone, would be implementing an Arena system.


    That wouldn't really fix anything fundamentally broken with the game or increase population as much, but it would at least give a certain subsection of current players something to do/stream.

    The question is, will anyone outside the current community even watch streams of a dead unpopulated game? I think that's probably wishful thinking.
