PTS Suggestions (Village/Runebook Patch)

    Good patch, but first off please stop changing stuff just to change it.

    People get used to the way things are, especially UI functionality and looks, don't change things just to change them. I've been in game for less than 10 minutes on PTS and my eyes are already hurting from looking at my stats. Look at the eyestrain you get from just reading this text. Change it back.


    Not sure if this is a bug, but the drop down menus on everything is now bugged and you need to scroll down in the menu to get more options. Shouldn't be like this.

    Same thing with this UI. The looting bag used to be to the right of the helmet, on the top right of the paperdoll. Why would you move it? Keep the Runebook slot on the paperdoll, but once one gets added then you should get a new icon next to your minimap with the book icon that opens up the interface for the runebook.

    Try to change Engineering Mastery this patch so we can get Warhulks into the game. All you need to do is make it so Spider Scarabs are unlocked at level 1 mastery. I shouldn't have to craft 30 modules to get to the first warhulk, which only takes 2 modules per craft. That would be like having to craft 30 ship mods to craft a raft or a launch, it doesn't make sense.

    Update the droprate on Portal Shards and Runestones, and add them to more mobs/chests/traderoutes/villages/ect.

    Map is horrible by default. You should by default display no mobs unless they are searched for, or only show the mobs within a 2km vicinity to you (if you can do this).

    The VCP capture pads are invisible on PTS. Also what are you going to do about all of the Sea villages? No one is going to bring a boat to them if all you have to do is stand on pads.

    After recalling, changes on map and minimap aren't saved. I set it to show no mobspawns, after recalling it still says 'none' but all mobspawns are displayed.

    Not sure if this is intentional, but anything you can name displays the label below it now.

    After using one of the runes from my runebook the game crashed. I died with the runebook on me to a mob and my game crashed. Recalled a few times and got GUI bugged (Might be a memory leak, game started to get choppy after being logged in for awhile)

    I tested the runebooks for 10-15 minutes trying to find an exploit or bug with them and couldn't. Good job.

    Also this patch really de-values houses. What is the point to owning a house now when you can mark a rune anywhere and port there for just the cost of 2 portal shards? Why would I ever waste dozens of hours, or hundreds of thousands of gold on the mats for a house?

    Villages are really buggy. I started capping a pad, and ran into someone else at a village. I Invited them into my party and the UI changed the pad to be considered an enemy pad when our party got merged. I tried to stand on the same pad again and It wouldn't re-capture for our party (might have just been a UI bug). I then left party with him and made my own to try to show them how the pads tick for each person. Still couldn't capture the 1st pad, and it showed as an enemy pad for both of us. I capped 2 other pads now in my solo party, it bugged out and kept displaying enemy. It flipped back and forth near the end, showing party being at 560 then opponent at 565, and then back to party score. At the end of the cap I got the loot and the person who's party I was in at the start got nothing.

    You should display on the map if a village is being captured and uncontested, being captured and contested, or not being captured. Could do this with colors or different icons, but I feel this needs to be done so people don't waste time trying to get to a village that is being captured uncontested.

    You said you died with the rune book on you. Is the rune book dropable?

    If it's not in your paperdoll it can be looted.

    If you can submit a ticket and attach the client_1.log file with the crash in it that will help determine the reason for the crash.

    should be tradeable but not lootable imo.
