I have been jotting down some QOL improvement ideas as I've played and learned the game over the last week. Some of these may not all be feasible but i wanted to at least throw them out there and hopefully get some discussion and other ideas and suggestions flowing in. QOL · Video/Resolution o Borderless window mode for all standard resolutions · Crafting – Function and GUI o Improve GUI window to allow for sorting by item rank/craft rank o Make the window adjustable to allow for more visibility (so you can see more than 4 items in the list at once time) o Allow crafting orders o Crafting recipe visibility from GUI without being at crafting station? o Allow for more than 99 combines at a time o Add a button to craft max based on inventory o Show quantity craft-able based on current inventory o Remove crafting tool requirement ? Not really a strong gold sink and serves no other purpose than being realistic. Really crude example: · Holdings o Allow option for gate auto close o Allow option for alliance to open/close gates · Actions o Left mouse trigger default unsheathes if object equipped is unsheathable o Allow dismounts while unsheathed? o Allow crafting with sword and shield equipped or don’t allow crafting with anything equipped? · Inventory o Drag item over bag to ‘auto’ place inside that bag o Make the player bank window size the same as clan bank window size · GUI o Display block base mitigation % modifier on shield stats hover-over o Improve Buff UI layout (smaller/compact/moveable?) o Buffs UI - add buff duration indicator (hover over & ideally a visual indicator)
I like a lot of these, window borderless mode.. not so much. Most of the people who play in windowed mode in this game are cheaters. Let them keep the ugly bordered window as punishment.
When on a mount and you press F, you get off the mount no matter the speed or if the weapon is unsheathed.
Canceling spells mid cast is not "quality of life" . It is actually important to darkfall that spells cannot be canceled once they are casted. Imagine if a destroyer was on someone's back and they could just immediately cancel their current spell and switch weapons. If you make a mistake, it should be punishable. Rest of the list seems ok.
I took the ability canceling off the list since that was the consensus... but acknowledge there is also strategy with canceling and casting abilities that makes people react and potentially waste other abilities. I also removed the housing request as its already a feature I wasnt aware of =p.
Ehh, I wouldn't go that far. I wouldn't mind if it slowed down to a stop at the same speed it already requires, but at least when you press the button, you should get off. And the thing where you're stuck sliding off the mount in slow-motion... That's just wrong.
For some reason, I was reminded of Bulk Order Deeds in UO, where a NPC would give you a paper that worked like a crafting quest. But yeah being able to make a crafting Que would be awesome sauce.
Would that be good though? What if they just changed it to where when you dismount you don't get stuck running in the air for a second.
