So as everybody knows, every now and then I drain the think tank that my allies and I have been stocking up on a really good idea we've had. Most recently, I've been speaking with them on the problem of the current PvE situation, and we've all reached an agreement on what the three main problems are: 1. Many mobs are far too difficult to kill As best said by the Villain Inositol Rex the Exalted Vindicator, most monsters in darkfall are incredibly difficult. They often times have too high health while dishing out unparalleled damage in an unrelenting fury, much like Rex's father did in order to beat out not just the left handedness, but the red headedness he now hides under a cool hat. Now, the only way to make monsters beatable is to try and create an identifiable, logical chain of spells that gives the player a chance. Now, you want to keep some of the risk involved, so each monster should do damage equal to the players current health points upon a successful hit, parry or not. In order to make monsters more fair, however, all spells and melee abilities should be replaced by a single ray that is castable once per monster life, giving players a chance to dip, duck and dodge their way out of sticky situations before orally invading each monster. 2. Monsters give far too much loot This is perhaps the greatest feat that New Dawn had, in that mobs gave so little loot and so few valuable items that the most efficient training method was to meditate archery while masturbating in the background. As monsters in RoA just simply drop too much of each resource, you'll find almost every mob spawn in the game jam packed with players fighting over the chance to loot just a single mob, which will more than pay for a game time token with todays costs. What I suggest is to remove monster loot entirely, and add all loot to theyril chests with a 1/1000 roll for each individual item, with a cap of 5 total items received from theyril chests. Gold should be removed. 3. The difficulty of looting skillfully. Perhaps the biggest challenge of all, many mobs are a major nuisance to loot once you are able to finally kill them. Add a fucking loot all button please. I hope that these changes will be looked at and debated internally before being put into the game.
