    The clan that controls the city can put as many respawns of guard he wants. This will involve costs. The city will make money through vendors fees and fees at the Market.

    The owners of the city can open the city for everyone's use, as well as an NPC city. But for this they must have the possibility to put everything they have in the NPC cities.

    The owner of the city will have full control over the city.

    This will make people want to dominate cities again.

    Think about it for T.C.

    that was the original idea, but 18 years later the technology is still just not there yet

    ahh the old 1 hit hally wack from a guard :) would be interesting to have a shadow knights tping around your holding smiting evil. However i think it would probably hit the ai server kinda hard during sieges.

    Ahhhh man, five of us sitting under the northwest bridge at WBB with our hiding alchemy poisoner hitting poor people and them dying before they called guards or got close to an npc was fun shit.

    shadowbane had guards was a cool system just like the sieges and mines shadowbane was king.....

    A good administrator will have advantages in protecting your city. He's going to be able to keep people living inside her and negotiating inside her. This will generate a lot of money that he will use to maintain the protection of the city. To conquer a large and well protected city will need a very large group.

    I used to put 500 stones worth of ore in a red box via the bank and trap it with an explosion potion.... Id leave it far enough away from the bank people would try to axe the box instead of walk it to the bank.

    I wish I had played that instead of WoW back in the day tbh... Isn't the guy behind SB doing Crowfall now?

    Art style is goofy and the combat isn't as skillful as RoA, but maybe something to consider in the future

    As for guards I'm guessing its always been a performance thing... there are probably better uses of BPGs time atm

    I think player cities might have to have two states of protection.

    A higher level normally.

    A lower level while under siege.

    From the system message thread there seems to be a consensus that player cities need to be safer so casuals don't get driven out of the game.

    But the same mechanics that would make a city safer to live in would make it harder to seige.

    Maybe in this case the city guards would kick some ass up till siege time when they would go off for a ciggy break.
