    Robes are currently made for 0 encumbrance and maximizing magic damage, and bone/mix is currently for for 10-20 encumbrance and increased physical/arrow protections over robes.

    This still makes them pointless though, you can run 0 encumb with a q5 feather + 3 infernal + full bone, the usual q4 set is 3 infernal, 6 bone, fp legs which is under 10 encumb and doesn't make that much of a difference.

    You can mix and match feathers with bone + heavy Armour and still have 0 encumbrance, so why would some1 use robes over existing gear which people already have plenty of?

    To me it seems like you are introducing a pointless choice.

    That setup would have roughly 11.5 encumbrance on the public test server, slightly higher physical protections than robes but lower elemental protections with the current pts protection values. We are still working on balancing everything though where the playerbase is polling most changes.

    I do think though that having magnitude on robes would be better than the changes you have done though, there would be an actual choice then.

    You are now basically breaking old Armour sets to force people to use something else. Instead of getting a reason to use one over the other.

    Well that's what happens when the players that don't want change step in and make a fuss. You see, people are so afraid of balance that instead of coming up with new and exciting things they create the same exact thing with different armors.

    There needs to be variation, reasons to do different things, pros and cons or using something over another. As it stands you are just making the old mage bag worse in order to try and make people use robes.

    I hate this so much. Every other enchants are fine.

    And i want them to consolidate protection enchants into 2 types: physival and magic.

    All protection enchant should be like a variation of stoneskin to make them give minimal protection on all and extreme protection on slash if you got slashing ring.

    Any reason why the robe hoods have almost no protection and give no physical protections? Feel like most people might skip out on crafting the hood if it does almost nothing. Are we going to be able to enchant robe hoods and robes after the patch (stam eff, protections?)

    If you plan on leaving the protections for the robe hood the same as it currently is, give us the ability to enchant it so there is a point in crafting it.

    Hoods may need some adjustments ever since magnitude was polled off, need more people involved with the public test server though.

    Ya Robes need to affect both mana regen AND magic magnitude (or cast time as the option to play robed with lowered cast time and using a slow q5 magnitude corpsecall is actually viable) , otherwise what's the point of even working on new armor?

    This games never going to get anywhere because the vast majority of people left are completely against anything new or exciting.

    They actually believe the accidental and lazy Aventurine armor system/meta is the peak of gameplay, sacrosanct, and should be enshrined forever with no alternatives or changes.


    BPG tries to do something different, but immediately caves when the same few kids throw an autistic tantrum and threaten to quit (they won't) before even giving it a chance.


    It's like BPG is being held hostage by screaming shit throwing toddlers and just needs to get the belt out, smack the shit out of them, come up with a roadmap, and stick to it for once.

    The first kid to say something along the lines of "LOL games shit Unholy Wars 2.0 incoming", just grab them like...

    Smurf no offense but for people to listen to you about your suggestions you need to have actually played RoA or DnD to see the current metas and how the game actually works now.. its changed a lot since dfo. You haven't touched any version of DFO for 10 years, ideas are ideas but unless you see the problems the game has or how your ideas would actually play out, they don't really matter.

    Also if you think them adding a few pairs of new armor is gonna bring in 2000+ new people you have seriously lost your mind. The only thing thats gonna do that is some serious advertising and even then, they won't stick around unless a lot of things change.

    Whit the right staff and robes...you can play elemental mage....necromancer....arcane mage....or heavy mage if you mix metal/bone armour....whit the last encumberance changes maybe we can play full heavy mage whit rays ....i suggest to add more specializations ....enchanting robes and hood....increase robe arrow defense....and bone set protections ( i dont play in the test server in the last 3..4 days ...maybe bpg doing that idk...)

    They revert enqumbrance effect in the public test server....you can play heavy mage if you want..like in the beta....
