Drops during sieges are part of what them exciting. It is also hilarious when your opponent gets greedy and loses a siege because of it. No drop sieges are a horrible idea. If that is what I wanted I could play MANY other MMOs. The increased cost to drop is the right approach. Just tweak it upwards a bit more and it'll be good (it will never be perfect).
--- Post updated --- Yes please. This dim mok guy is pure cancer and requires banning for griefing us! Please make asset damage also bannable since its a waste of peoples time and a form of griefing abusing game mechanics! WHEN SUFFERING IN THE PIT YOU DUG YOURSELF INTO. ASK THE GMS TO HELP YOU OUT. LOLOLOLOLOLOL. I can't WAIT for them to FORCE people to login and show up to sieges. That is pure GENIUS. What is the minimum requirement you think they should enforce? 1? 5? Whatever it is, we'll be sure it's just enough! I suppose then you'll want them to have at least a dragon bag on as well? But of course!
You’re talking about old school DF1, that was Black Shields/Zealot trying to duck out on SB after they ran a play 2 crush campaign. I know why you bring this up but this is a different game. In DF1 bind camping was allowed, attacking noobs in NPC’s was allowed but in ROA that’s not allowed. If they want to cater to the masses they need to make certain adjustments that don’t allow autists / toxic / hardcore players to ruin the game for others who want to play more casually. I also find it funny that the same people who condemned us in the OG DF1 are now complaining about not being able to normalize it in ROA. The go to tactic can’t be “you took a village cap from me, now I will no show siege you to death.” when SB did it we actually had a reason but again different game, different times.
Gotta disagree with you on that homie It's a legitimate tactic used in the real world too. Keep your enemies up at night on their toes expecting an attack that never comes, then hit them when they're burnt out and not expecting it. So BPG shouldn't ban it. INSTEAD (like with most things missing in RoA) they should implement PROPER risk vs reward/ consequences. Make it financially painful to do a no show as an attacking force to the point where the vast majority of people won't WANT to do it, at least not often. It's retarded that the siege cost is less than the bags some people wear to them If someone hates you enough and is rich enough, they should still be able to do it though. @Sero is just playing by the rules/mechanics that exist, if those mechanics truly make for an unsustainable game population/activity, then it's up to BPG to change them. BPG can't expect the community to self police. General rule of thumb in Darkfall development should be to design with community autism, rather than altruism, in mind.
Wow, went from chest thumping all weekend to crying after just one siege. Imagine what it's like for your allies that actually log in to the game.
The babies cry about siege prices then it gets reverted a hell of a lot and they go back to no showing. Dev's can't win with the current clans doing what they are doing. The prices were fine but people were crying that the drop price was the same cost as a siege bag
That awkward moment when you agree with everything LBS posts and you feel weird... like your brain need a shower.
It will be fixed when siege windows are patched in but when will that be? GMs / Devs could intervene until then instead of increasing costs too high that no one will siege, just punish the ones that abuse the mechanics until the patch is applied.
Yes more slayers in game would be cool. You guys gotta understand, we're REALLY looking for you to ADD stuff like this, to make the game a more robust rpg. Sandbox elements, content, however big or small are ALWAYS appreciated by the community.
you might have been able to at launch, but cant do it anymore. aggressive pulled a kid out of an npc in full dragon, kid cried and he got a 3 day ban. its a JOKEEEE
I dont mean exploiting around the hit protection using daggers and robes people can kill before towers kill, other person loots less something changed I am unaware of that is. Could def do it before
