Spells level not rising at all

I've noticed none of my spells level are rising at all.
Especially, my lv 1 spell isn't going up either, so it's very obvious.

 

With the newest patch, 69 spells do not level up through casting but level up through scrolls found in the wild. The full list of spells can be found here - https://forums.darkfallriseofagon.com/threads/spell-scroll-list.4248/

There are still on going tweaks to this scroll concept to make it better then it currently is.

 

So was this implemented with absolutely no mention of it ingame?

 

It was in the most recent patch notes.

They will be updating scroll descriptions and spell descriptions appropriately in following patches.

 

Yeah no shit it was in the patch notes. That doesn't help a single person who plays this game and doesn't frequent the forums. You cant just throw in big changes like this without any mention of it ingame, this is how the new player experience got to be the bag of shit it is now.

Do it the right way and make sure it is explained properly ingame during the NPE, or else youre going to have to backtrack and do it later.

 

its the first iteration of the concept, it will be updated as time goes on. But i agree with you, a mention of it in game on the spells should have been noted.

 

I totally admit that I didn't read the patch note careful enough...

And I also totally disagree with this idea. Getting mob drops from and use it against the fundamental.

This patch pretty much change the direction to other type of games like WoW or so.

There are many ppl would complain, but here is the bug report. I think we should move to the correct places & discuss.

it isn't that hard to go to forums and read patch notes if you see the game is patching

 

It's beta, if you aren't reading patch notes and checking forums at least every few days for major updates/events, what are you doing for beta?

 

He has a point. There shouldn't be a need to go to the forums to find out information on new patches. It should be detailed well in the launcher or have a popup in game.

 

Patch notes do get forwarded to the INFO tab on the front of the lobby when first logging in, under Recent News you are able to find out the most recent information.
