I bought a Logitech G602 for RoA. Not the best, but a very decent mouse. Thumb buttons work great with the built-in macros.

Can you lock that side that has the buttoms so its doesn't move? I saw this at Best Buy and was considering it but I hated how the side moved

I like the wireless. I don't notice a diff between wired and wireless mode. I play wired 99% of the time though

If I was to buy a mouse today I'd probably save myself 100 bucks and buy the Logitech g pro

Zowie FK2 - 88 grams, plug and play (no software) with 4 DPI modes (400,800,1600,3200). Perfect lightweight cord for a bungee, 3310 sensor which is amazing. This is my personal mouse. It's on the small side but works for big hands in my experience, some say they have to fingertip grip it, but Zowie also makes larger versions and they are all great that you can look into.

Logitech g403 - 90~ grams with 10 gram optional weight, has arguably the best sensor on the market at the moment, larger mouse, wide. Con is the cord fairly heavy and braided, but it's very manageable, especially with a bungee. If my hands were larger, this would be my main mouse.

Zowie Benq Bungee - Best money can buy, it's around $28 bucks.

Hope this might help, very few other mouse I might recommend, tried over 20 of the "best", but opinions on mice is heavily subjective. Gives you something to look into, at least.

Edit: As for wireless mice, there is a wireless version of the G403 which gets rid of its only con imo which is the cord, and it's actually the only wireless mouse I would use for competitive play.

That was my reason for skipping over the Corsair Scimitar. 12 seemed excessive and uncomfortable to hold. I also would worry about not having the dexterity or gripping the side of the mouse during tense fights and hitting hotkeys accidentally. The Rival 500 is a nice middleground. There are a few less convenient buttons (for me) on the top of the mouse but there aren't any buttons I wish it didn't have or don't see myself using in DF.

I got a pretty big hand and my ping barely drags, like a feint touch. I guess it also depends on where your pinky feels comfortable

Yo props for finding something with the right shape I'm definitely looking into this one

    Do you actually have one?
    --- Post updated ---
Well the Qpad 8k actually has a vastly improved sensor

It's probably what ill be using I just wish It would recognize both thumb buttons when I hold them at the same time as I use them as modifier keys ALT/CTRL OR it has a third thumb button and the extra buttons to the left of left click like the G502

Nice They actually have them on display at best buy?

I'm tired of buying off Amazon without getting to hold it first

    This.

You described my death adder to the tee.

Although Razer has been going downhill quality wise for a while.

Ya that one looks really nice but no pinky/ringfinger rest

I might just have to get used to not having one but it affected my aim alot when I didn't
