I think PS are the most used item in agon.. Everyone wanne move around the map.. either with runebook or chambers. Also I do think that ps should not be issue in farming them but rather easy obitainable since there so much used. Most mats are raizing in price.. so there is inflation going on.. and there are barely any gold sinks Suggestion is to put PS on the npc vendor again : - people have time to farm mats then instead of PS - gold sink is added - people start using more teleport functions because its alot easier to move around then. ( more pvp) rather complain about the price of ps and its usage Price around 1.5k 2k? on npc vendor?
I mean, they super easy to farm. People just lazy. People actually go to shadow spirit dungeons and stuff now so its neat to see those being populated. One of the few things people actually want and we want to take away the potential hotspots? Gonna be a no from me dawg, find a different way to sink gold by not killing one of the few desired materials.
Nope. They should increase drop rates from mobs. Golems and elf shades used to have good portal shard drop rates back in the day. The issue here is that we haven’t adjusted the drop rates to reasonable levels. Not everyone wants to farm deathless mages and oathlieges
This is the real issue right now, lack of diversity in farming. Ghosts / Elfshades / Elfwraiths were the number one source of portal shards back in the day. Now they have been nerfed in to oblivion and are just another absolutely worthless mob to farm. An interesting idea, this combined with greater diversity in mobs that drop them, like elfshades / wraiths very good fix to both the supply problem and gold sink problem. I mean you can call him a moron all you want but judging by where the poll currently stands with 64% for and 34% against, it looks like he's stating a very popular opinion that a good portion of the population supports.
People are super fucking lazy and they will always vote for that option. The convenience of fast travel that we have is the biggest in the game. They're not difficult to acquire. Runebooks already undermine certain aspects of gameplay and territory ownership/control. Even when sieging against a force bigger than you, you could always use logistics to increase your chances against them. You cant anymore. People just fucking instantly appear everywhere. Disabling Portal Networks is substantially less effective against clans currently. I'm in clan with the OP. If you asked him would he like full siege bags put on vendors too, he'd say yes. You guys are fucking INSANE if you want to add a highly popular, valuable, farmable loot item onto a fucking vendor. --- Post updated --- Sounds like a player issue
I'd always support a gold sink, and fast travel is a good place for it... But I dont think that is the correct avenue to do it. If you add a flat value of 1,500g to a shard.... and the price continues to rise because its not actually inflation, you'll just hurt any natural occuring economy That's a picture of the market right now. This is still within the price range from back when they were first removed from vendors. (or a little later, when I started playing and farming shards specifically to sell) When it comes to Portal Shards, you have to account for more than just the displayed gold value, because they represent the increase in player activity. Their demand is increased a LOT by just a few players, as people try to stock books, and banks for chambers. ~150 shards, with not much scrollbar left, from 3,300g to 3,970.. There really is no cause for concern here at all imo. Player increase means a change in supply/demand of certain things.. Contested mob spawns will sometimes drive prices up. Rarer items get rarer Diluted economy - as new players on the scene are looting gear bags that would have otherwise fallen to familiar enemies, where they'd be looted back Increase in sieges / Asset wars etc, always push demand for gear

7khp mobs, long respawn timers shown on map, drop a ton of portal shards when killed, group pve option to get more portal shards. Killing oathlieges over and over is cancer
