Get rid of this spell.
Adept completely nullifies it as a mage, not sure if it works well as a destro.
No reason why?
This spell is best used on mobs.
Who cares about pve the spell is fucking broken in PVP. I know you can use a potion to get rid of it but the spell serves 0 purpose in a game like darkfall and you can legit spam it so the potions just useless anyways.
Spell reflect is pretty broken too, a destroyer is supposed to fire needles to remove it before trying debuffs? It just further removes strategy from the build. All debuffs and related spells should be looked at.
It's got a decent cooldown and cast time though, and it's not exactly fast moving either. Not to mention there's a good chance you can resist it, especially if you have spell resist buff, or mental protection I think it is.
ait well we will have 1v1 i will tongue rot u in the back and see if you still agree that it should stay in the game.
My point was you shouldn't be letting someone tongue rot you in the back in the first place, lol.
I've been hit in the back with lvl75 tongue rot and level 1 adept countered it completely. 0 fizzles. The only problem is duration of adept, which is a reason to level it up so it lasts longer.
Just another thing to keep in mind during pvp, I don't see a problem with it. Of all the debuffs you can be hit by, tongue rot is probably the best just because a quick cast counters it.

Also wtf is up with you kids and the V for Vendetta masks?
What can a destro do to counter tongue rot?
Not sure how encumberance affects adept but they can cast it, it's in spellchanting.
Yeah but surely that would only affect the effectiveness of tongue rot, e.g make casting time longer, not counter it?
They should be able to cast it just fine, I don't think encumberance affects spell success anymore (since fizzles don't happen normally), so it should be just as easy for a destro to cast adept.

If you get hit by tongue rot, adept counteracts it completely. Tongue rot applies a spell success penalty, adept gives you a spell success buff of greater magnitude than the debuff.
Ohh I get you, alright cheers mate
tongue rot has a hard counter, that you do not have to aim... idk, not the worst thing ever....
They need to make it where adept doesnt fizzle lol
I mean honestly I look around on the forums and I just think. What the fuck is wrong with these people. Adept cancels out tongue rot enough said.
There should never be a spell that you can use to automatically cancel another spell.
LOL i was the first one to do it all the sheep followed me. Ok ok adept counters it what if u fizzle adept? but tbf i didnt kno this was the case you kids dont have to "what the fuck is wrong with some people" just because everyone is zerging me down on the forums you wanna hype up and put your word in chill i didnt know. Thanks.
Inb4 RoA implements auto counter spell casting.
