    To kick this thread off, we’d like to thank all of you for your valuable feedback and passion for Rise of Agon. In our recent patch on January 16th, we mentioned that we would “continue to enhance pve, especially for groups”, so let’s elaborate on that!

    We have observed (and we’re sure you have too) that the majority of players interested in farming monsters tended to do it alone or as a duo, with some bosses being an exception. There are several reasons for this: monsters were not regenerating health (fixed last patch), not enough loot to accommodate larger groups and lack of challenge. Our plan is to make boss fights more dangerous and challenging, while also rewarding players with better loot if they manage to vanquish their foes. Champions will have minions respawning during the final stage, so you’ll need to deal with them while finding a way to slay the boss. Champions will also have new weekly tasks, sweetening the pot for teams able to contest the spawns...which will all be in the red zone.

    Next up is the really badass monsters like the theyril golem and dark dragon. Spawns of this difficulty will be guarded by minions, making these fights more suitable for groups. Not only will this create more engaging battles, but it will also provide players with monsters to slay while waiting for the boss to respawn. This tier of bosses will have their loot tables updated with a chance for high quality, pvp viable enchanted gems, potentially with other tweaks. Not only that, but each of these bosses will have a daily task, and one of their minions will as well. If you can control the spawn long enough to kill the boss five times, your team will complete two dailies. We hope that these changes, and the ones above, will provide a more fun and rewarding farming experience, accompanied by a healthy mix of pvp.

    An additional leenspar golem and forest golem will arrive on Agon, and the ice dragon will have his loot increased again, as we agree with your feedback that the loot has not quite hit the mark. The fire dragon will receive a new dye, as will the demon...and the demon lord. That’s right. Daddy is coming home. The demon lord, fire dragon, and ice dragon spawns will function on a random spawn timer, accompanied by a global server announcement. Additionally, we are considering allowing these bosses to be able to respawn, with a lengthy and random respawn timer, of course.

    Weekly gathering tasks will be added. Village teleport updates. The trade route experience will be improved. Last but not least, get your ships ready, because the old village capture system is making a comeback for sea villages and you must bring black powder. Feel free to submit feedback.     If you're referring to the rare gems, those would be dropped directly by the monsters.

    Love it guys! Great Job!!!! Keys and maps need gems removed and a little more buff to gold.

    VCP's need their rewards buffed as well, with multiple ports from the billboard if you guys are keeping it. Plus add a circle around the billboard ports yellow = no loot / red = loot for noobs to know which port is non full loot. maybe make no loot vcps cap at tier 4? Tier 3 is trash....

    Also, add more named mobs that spawn randomly with great loot!

    Maybe make Global message when the demon / fire dragon / ice dragon spawns.

    THE ICE DRAGON HAS AWAKENED!!! Would be sick - F server up spawns.

    I like these changes. A few things while you're reading.

    - The daily fish gathering task requires you fish out about 5-6 tiles worth of fish which seems excessive. It takes significantly longer than the other daily gathering tasks and trawling does not seem to contribute to it.
    - Can we get daily tasks for the lower tier golems like basalt and granite (maybe small rewards for house materials)?
    - Neil is aware, but just to remind, we need the ability to cut timber into wood while away from a crafting station back, it makes the daily gathering tasks a bit tedious to have to keep running back to dump your stuff. He said it was unintentional to remove it. Can we please have it back or give us a portable workbench for it? Maybe add it to the fire pit deployable (which you can smelt at) for now or just use some generic object for the workbench version.
    - Can we get a self-haste for weapons/bows please? Few reasons: One it would make solo play a bit easier against bigger mobs. Two if you get jumped by a group at least you can be hasted and have a bit better chance of defending yourself. Three it would help against alt-(ab)use.

    good post.

    only issue is minions together with champions and golems. ITS BORING as hell.

    make the golems give you more damage or something but spawn several shit mobs around is def a BAD implementation

    If gems get removed how am I suppose to sell enchanted gems on the market???

    Sell them off a vendor = Gold sink?

    Right now IMO I dont feel that maps and keys are worth it. Only real change was the dyes which are really cool, but in DF1 Large maps dropped 25K. In this state of economy why would you not make maps and keys special?

    Do maps and keys feel special to you? NO

    You can just bring 14 alts and a main to a VCP and get 100K gold and shit load of mats every 30 minutes!

    When was the last large map you got? For how rare they are, they suck

    What ever happened with the new tiers of leather armor/ robes/ bone armor and that metal tier between full plate and infernal?

    Did that get scrapped?

    I thought that would have been a great addition to the game IF you added bonuses to those armors like

    Top tier Leather = archery attack speed and 15% Stam regen (lower or higher based on tier ofcourse)
    Top tier Bone = 7.5% mana/ stam/ health regen
    Top tier Robes= 15% mana regen + spell damage

    Metal doesn't need any bonus as its higher protections already make it the best

    More trash mobs getting in the way? Already Theyril golem is cancer with the snowclan.

    Fights should be more dynamic, not more cancer.

    If you want to add trash mobs, at least greatly reduce the 7k hp and buff their damage as well as making sure the trash mobs do solid damage. So fight is short but deadly.

    I don't understand the logic of putting annoying trash mobs into high value spawns. It adds a lot of tedium and annoyance. It doesn't add fun. You guys already did this once with the devil spawn. It changed what was once an honestly entertaining and interesting mob spawn that was frequently fought over into a tedium filled nightmare that required too many people to be worth it anymore when the infernal spawns were upped to crazy levels. It also made PvP in the spawn a lot more cancerous as well.

    Just slapping trash mobs onto an existing high value spawn is lazy and bad and will only serve to make that spawn less worth it. For it to add any real entertainment that goes beyond the cancer it adds you have to add more mechanics. Like killing all the trash mobs significantly weakens the high value mob or adds a significant amount of bonus loot as examples. They have to tie together somehow to be anything but just more tedium and annoyance that serves no real purpose.

    Basically think of it like this:
    If those trash mobs were worth faming entertainment wise, people would be killing them for fun right now. Hint: No one kills those trash mobs for fun, its basically cancer. So don't just add trash mobs for the sake of adding trash mobs. Try to make it add some depth and entertainment that goes beyond just more mouse clicks that generate trash loot.
