I started my on-line gaming playing the original UO when losing a Vanq Kat was painful. To be very honest I am a very bad PvP'er but I do like to craft and develop toons. I like the fact that you can lose everything you have on you when you get killed. In other words I despise Candy Land games. That being said...what is wrong with zerging? The whole idea of PvP is to win by any means possible. I would love to hear the reasons why so many in this community think zerging is not a viable means to win. Thanks, Punt Meh "If you have to buy rhubarb from the store you have no friends"
Game is also at a state where there are only a limited amount of people and one side zerging too hard or becoming too large of an alliance kills any activity in the game as there are no other zergs left to compete. With a large population its not an issue but with a limited and declining player-base it creates an atmosphere of avoiding pvp/fights as one side knows they don't have the numbers to compete and can't find players to fill the void. Personally I hate having even numbered large scale fights as I find it more enjoyable to pull off upsets and work as a small cohesive unit. tldr: game ded
Zergs are frowned upon not because of the large numbers but rather because they are completely disorganized witch runs counter to the spirit of why people form clans. The reason zergs are disorganized is because the leadership finds little or no value in training its members beyond duels.
Zerging is just cruel. Occasionally it is a decent fight because the skill/gear gaps make it fairly even. But more often than not it is just blatantly unfun for both sides involved. It is a vicious cycle of stupidity, "oh look it is someone from that clan that zerged us yesterday, zerg them down" "oh I'll give him a 1v1, wait he is running because we have 8 more coming in, zerg him down" If you enjoy zerging down people "becuz lulz", then congratulations you are kind of a dick.
The term zerg is used when someone gets outnumbered by 1, its literally just ego kids being unable to come to terms with the fact that they lost and couldn't beat someone outnumbered and of course running around with there 1337 group and not being able to merk kids.
Being zerged isn't always fun but zergs existing is great for the game, it means it's alive. The most important thing to keep in mind is that not everyone is a pvp god, or even good at pvp, zerging is their way of winning.
Because any monkey can zerg, especially since they butchered combat and made it practically impossible to win when outnumbered. The real problem with it is there is nothing else to do in this game but zerg, which results in people not wanting to play unless they have 1.
what logic, HEY LETS HAVE A PICKUP GAME OF BASKETBALL With 18 on one team and 2 on the other, but it's fun because we WON YAYYYY. The fact that you would rather win in lieu of actually having a fun fight or something even remotely close is the real plague of this game.
glad you understand ink, dont want you thinking you can have fun playing how YOU want to play you despicable human
