Why destro is broken

    Your revert did not include the following.

    Destroyer's healing spells/conversions are not affected by encumbrance. So they literally heal for 2x as much as they did on the real revert.

    Encumbrance does not effect the casting time of their healing spells meaning catching a destroyer casting a heal and being able to punish them off out transitioning them or being able to throw 2 1/2 spells at them during their heal self/witches brew typically allowed you to significantly out damage their heal if you landed spells or close splashes.

    These 2 alone make a retarded difference.

    Destroyer's don't have to waste time casting unburden.

    Self Buff's allowed you to have higher stats than Destroyers.

    Slashing debuff and other debuffs are still nerfd

    Rage still exist's which ONLY nerf's mage DPS, destroyer's are unaffected. The heal is the same for both destroyer and mage. The same for spell heals as well when that use to not be the case.

    Destroyer's had to enchant their staff with casting time ridding the benefit of either magnitude or mana efficiency.

    Did the revert include grouping mana shield with double jump?



    I haven't logged in since before the patch. But all of these were previous micro buffs that changes throughout ROA indirectly buffed destroyers.

    The 3 transfers were never effected by encumbrance, it's always been like this we didn't change it. They are still the only spells not effected by encumbrance.

    why do u care when they dont....we got 1/3 of the revert and they added disable bolt, use it

    They will never understand hence why you get replies like this where they focus on one thing and ignore the other things you mentioned.

    Witches brew and heal self were absolutely affected by encumbrance. Sone of your other points were RoA issues that came from champs, changed etc

    You forget stamina buffs introduced in beta that let practically everyone not have to stat stamina unless a fight drags on past 5 minutes. Paperdoll Lock... Faster parrying abilities...

    I mean, there's so much little shit here and there that gave them buffs, why they needed to continue with combat/destro changes past beta is beyond me.

    Remember when you could get an R60 slowbow and peck people for 60 damage to the front? Yea, don't worry though, Destro was considered underpowered back then, lmfao.

    From the original DFO before we touched anything it was:

    Healing spells barely affected by encumbrance:
    3 Transfer spells: M2S, S2H, and H2M.
    Sacrifice

    These abilities had no real speed drop effect and a very minor magnitude drop from encumbrance.


    Partially affected healing spells:
    Witches brew
    Heal other

    These two spells had a small drop in cast speed and a noticeable drop in magnitude from encumbrance.


    Majorly affected healing spells
    Heal self
    Lay on hands

    These two spells had a major drop in both cast time and magnitude, it was pointless to cast without unburden in high encumbrance.


    This was how the spells were from DFO and carried through in RoA. Anyone have values from recent testing since the latest combat patch? Would be good to add some data to this conversation to debate effectively.

    The argument that heavy armoured players can heal too effectively and is overpowering that playstyle may carry weight but let's look at the difference in the data.

    Balance is a careful tightrope walk and minor balances occasionally will always happen in any PvP game.

    Edit: added lay on hands, left out healing chant though it isn't really a factor in this debate I think.

    We're always listening, this is a common statement about destroyer being OP and I'm just looking to expand this argument.

    nerf parry rushing by adding a fair increase to stamina loss while parrying over time, also adding 5 points of stamina loss to even click a parry button maybe even to kinda put a slight nerf on the ray/parry meta for mages as well...?!
    decrease melee dmg across the board tbh (affecting both mages and destros).
    increase bow dmg slightly

    numbers can change but that's the general idea of how to fix imotbh

    I remember when i used to try to keep track of all the Destroyer direct and indirect buffs and mage nerfs

    If you think BPG even KNOWS all of the changes they've made to Destroyer vs Mage balance (let alone any unintended ones through spaghetti code, partial reverts, and stealth changes from people like Destelocke) I have a bridge to sell you.

    Even many of the SAME people who used to say I should stfu about Destroyer imbalance are NOW saying it's OP LOL.

    Bpg.....im not sure....but i think when they say revert...... they mean back to vanilla df combat. Just a hunch.

    Decrease dagger dmg
    Decrease stamina regen
    Decrease to 25 % destroyer bonus vs staff out

    The splash technically was reverted to DF 1 - you never got hit for 50 when you miss by a mile.

    Dagger damage never got increased? I believe it was just reach?

    Stamina was adjusted because something was a little off from df 1- I think they went a tiny bit too far, even though I personally like it like it is now.

    Ewww no, that ruins the whole point of being a destroyer hence the point of reverting
