Worse mob in the game: Raptors.

    Raptors in the hardruk dungeon now drop beast claws instead of q4 claws: same amount. Beast claws cannot be used in alchemist.

    They drop vile spike too, but it's rare: just 1.

    For a mob that drops no gold, it's funny to see that they drop less items than most mobs in the game and the quality is super bad.

    Raptors may as-well be the worse mob in the game ATM; it's better to kill goblins.

    Sure, they drop leather a lot of leather, but you may as-well kill minotaur for that.

    I wish rapors were the ''go to'' for vile spikes if the devs don't want them to drop q4 claws. I understand deathstalker raptors are here, but you have ruined a few spawns that involves raptors that i could kill while waiting for the better mob spawn to come-back. Veilron golem + raptors was good. Eodrin + raptors was good. Sandstorm golem+ raptor was good...

    There will be some monster loot rebalancing in the future after the upcoming armor patch and normal raptors may be one of the many rebalanced monsters. Though I will say that Raptors have higher drop rates for those materials than what you are saying in this thread, if you have only gotten a single vile spike or a small number of q2 claw then you may need to kill more raptors to get a more accurate representation of their drop rate as RNG is always a factor.

    not only raptors, we have alot of mobs that are useless to farm.

    Biggest issue I have with these new tables is there is few actual good routes. Cairn circle decimated, yssam run is much much worse to name the two I feel strongly about.

    When you guys change loot tables you also need to look at it's nearby mobs. Group farming in this game was already horrible outside of two people but now I'm of the opinion 2 person farming is even worse off.

    Only thing you can do that is somewhat worth it as a group is multiple champions, but rng on bad pots can really mess that up even.

    Look at your holdings, your portals and nearby mobs next revert. It all ties into people feeling rewarded.

    Sorry if I may derail the thread, saw the bpg comment and wanted to throw my 2 cents as someone who loved pve in both darkfalls but dislikes it now.

    you're changing mob loot again? does anyone have a tracker for how many times they've been changed

    No major changes like the regionalization updates that drastically changed loot tables, it would mostly just be balancing and adjusting the drop rates and such for monsters that need it most after those patches such as increasing drop quantities or chances.

    I've made a video of me killing 4 raptors and looting them.

    Out of 4 raptors, i got 1 vile spike. They drop, 4-8 beast claws, but who cares when they can't be converted?

    I'll look forward for the new lootable, but right now, i consider the hardruk dungeon to be a terrible place to farm: even the shadow spirit are not as great as they once was in DFO. Every spawns that could be cycled with raptors, i may not go back to them.

    Propain just said it: the spawns nearby is the most crucial aspect. I don't go back to a spot if i can't make 100k+ gold after selling everything.

    Also, it doesn't make sense that q3 horns are so much harder to farm than q4 horns. I skip on Matayin claws because there's nothing nearby to farm and i refuse to kill those underwater. I don't miss not having evil eyes in the andruk dungeon, but i do miss not having any mob to cycle with evil eyes. When you build-up the next lootable patch, think of the nearby spawns: always.

    It's wrong when it completely eliminates reasons to farm certain mobs

    Nobody farms gray orks no more when they used to be hot. Those q4 taints now belongs to shadow knights, but they are annoying to kill so you might-aswell get q5 taint instead which is ironically easier to get if solo.

    Sometime, it's not he mob loot, but the relocation of mob which ruins what was already not great into shit.
    A 20 spawn that used to contain mummy's and greater mummy's now only has 8 mummy's. With the surround spawn, you can only make 50k gold. It should go back to having 20 mummy's only without greaters.

    I'm glad spawn scaling is no longer here, but i no longer feel motivated to camp a lot of spawns because of that due to the lack of surrounding mobs. I no longer have any interest in killing greater Matayin. I think we need a dungeon full of greater matayins. Nobody cares about q2 biles that can't be used in alchemy.

    Sometimes lower rate spawns can be good if they're in a safe spot.
